Keith Anthony — Founding Attorney
Keith Anthony is a trial attorney, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Major, and MFLG’s founding attorney with nearly 20 years of military service—including four years as an active-duty Marine JAG prosecutor handling courts-martial.
That experience has shaped the way Keith practices law: he prepares relentlessly, builds a clear strategy, and fights for his clients when the stakes are highest. His litigation experience spans State, Federal, Military, and Tribal Courts, giving him a rare depth of perspective few attorneys can offer.
Keith’s practice focuses on personal injury, military law, family law, and criminal defense. He has represented clients in matters ranging from serious motor-vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and product liability to military divorce and pension issues, criminal defense, courts-martial, and administrative military proceedings. He is one of the few Connecticut attorneys with substantial experience navigating both state and military family law.
A five-time Super Lawyers selection, including one Rising Star designation, Keith brings the discipline, preparation, and tenacity of a Marine to every case. His Groton office is located less than three miles from Naval Submarine Base New London, where his firsthand military legal experience is uniquely suited to serving service members, veterans, and their families.

Maren Klawiter — Attorney
Maren Klawiter is an accomplished family law and civil attorney who combines strong litigation skills, persuasive negotiation, and thoughtful client advocacy. She understands that divorce, custody, and alimony matters are about more than legal issues—they can profoundly affect a family’s daily life, financial stability, and future.
Maren earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, along with a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Her legal career began in Boston, where she worked as a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, and litigation associate at a major law firm. Since relocating to Connecticut, her practice has focused on family, education, juvenile, disability, and civil law.
With a broad legal background and a measured, client-centered approach, Maren brings clarity, compassion, and determination to every case. Her goal is to help clients navigate difficult circumstances with confidence while pursuing the best possible outcome.
